Professional Qualifications :BA.ED, Adv. Dip AT&R, Adv. Dip TAMT, Dip ABF, MIOM, AICA University: Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.
Mr Olusegun coordinates logistics for smooth air travels of staff within and outside the country for program activities. He gives necessary guidance for safety, facilitates processing of travel documents, obtains necessary travel information and ensures compliance to organizational policies.
Protocol and administrative duties including planning foreign and domestic visits for the Institute’s guests and officials are also handled by the Travels Unit headed by Mr Akanmu.
Within the Institute, he has served as Travel Officer, Senior Travel Officer and Travels Coordinator with his extensive experience in security, administration, management and travels services. Prior to this, he had a career stint in education and worked with Pathfinders International Limited (attached to British Airways) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
Mr Akanmu has a Master of Memories certification in Cruise Travels from Carnival Cruise Line University, USA; Advance Diplomas in, Air Ticket and Reservation, and in Travel Agency Management/ Ticketing from the College of Aviation and Management Studies, Abuja. He is an alumnus of the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Education Degree. He has also earned a certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington USA and participated in several courses.
He is a member of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies, Chartered Institute of Administration of Nigeria, Institute of Operations Management of Nigeria and Institute of Strategic Entrepreneurs of Nigeria.
His hobbies are reading, traveling and watching football. He is married with children.
