As the IHVN State Manager for Katsina State, Dr. Felix Nwajiani is responsible for coordinating the implementation of HIV and tuberculosis programs in the state. He fosters a conducive environment for staff to work and builds a cordial relationship with stakeholders for the provision of quality prevention, care, and treatment services for HIV and tuberculosis.
He represents the Institute at technical meetings and coordinates mentoring and technical assistance to partners in the state. Dr. Nwajiani also works with his team to meet project management, financial reporting, and program area performance measurement requirements.
He has worked as a Senior Program Officer, Adult ART, Katsina State Technical Lead, Regional ART Advisor for North-East Region on the SHARP Task 01 project, and Program Officer of the Institute.
Dr Nwajiani has more than 20 years of experience in HIV program implementation and medical practice. His numerous trainings are in areas such as prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, adult and pediatric ART, and malaria management. He is an alumnus of the University of Benin, where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1998. He also attended the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria with to study administration and management with the sponsorship of the Kano state government.
He enjoys sports and watching movies and is married with children.
