Mr. Abdulsalami Kareem Ogueyi leads the Process and Compliance Unit and manages his team to ensure the organization’s adherence to legal requirements and company policies. His duties include designing and implementing compliance programs and initiatives. He also coordinates risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.
Mr. Ogueyi also spearheads the development and communication of compliance policies and procedures to employees, stakeholders, and relevant departments. Conducting internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and systems falls within his purview. He also leads investigations of incidents, reports of non-compliance and implements corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Mr. Ogueyi utilizes his vast experience and knowledge in providing internal control, marketing, relationship management, operational management, and finance administration in guiding compliance programs, systems, and adherence to donor rules.
Within the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN), Mr. Ogueyi has served in capacities such as Senior Compliance Officer, Compliance Officer, and Finance Officer. His more than 30 years of work experience also includes work stints at Pacific Bank, Fidelity Bank, El-nick Engineering Ltd, and Gaskiya Textile Mills Limited.
He is an alumnus of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he earned a Diploma in Insurance, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Master’s in Business Administration. He also has certifications in Basic Health Economics, Forensic Investigation and Compliance, Internal Audit, Accounting, Financial Analysis, and Total Quality Management.
His hobbies are reading & badminton, and he is married with children.
